Avoid This Popular Holiday Season Scam

Have you heard about this common scam going around companies?

Throughout the past few years, employees have been receiving requests, primarily email, from their "boss" asking them to purchase gift cards as a present for the other employees. The "boss" is actually a scammer, using this phishing attempt to obtain the gift cards from this employee.

Here are some tips to avoid this scam during the holiday season:

Check the email address of the sender
Contact the partner directly to confirm the request
Beware of odd or “out of place” requests
